Frixion Pen!!

Another good thing about our sewing club is sharing information about how to do things but also about bargains, one of our sewers spotted a Frixion Pen in TESCO for £3


Lots of our other ladies had brought these from craft shops or craft fairs for nearly double the price!!!

 
This is my little picture made in this fine pen which is fantastic
for detail! 

 
Just pop the iron on!!

 
And Ta Dar!!!! 
 
Just a quick note if you run out of space and need to store your quilts in the freezer the ink will return!!
 
Another lady got her pen from Sainsbury's at about the £3 mark but there are retractable and refillable ones which vary the price

Baby Quilts

As you know we love to make charity quilts here at the village hall, our latest project is incubator quilts for the neo natal at the Royal. If you are interested in making them or need a reminder of the size they are 15" by 10" lets see some we have made :)


These beautiful quilts are what the wonder Wendy has created since last week!
 
 
and I did this one to add to the collection :)
 

Marian is working on these gorgeous snowman applique blocks :)
which she is planning to make in to two wall hangings
 

Jenny is doing a favours for a family member
and covering a seat for her trailer tent :)

 
These beautiful tissue holders and book cover were made by the very cleaver Irene
ready for the Stone Canoe Club Christmas fair
 
Cathy has been practicing her free motion quilting,
 
Margaret was cutting out blocks for her incubator quilt
 
Maureen was adding to her fabulous blue and white flower quilt  
 
and me,
 
 
I finished quilting my Charity Quilt.

Christmas Party Update!

We are changing the date of our Christmas Party at Caverswall so we can make sure everyone can make it  :)
The new date will be Wednesday 9th December Then the last day of the year will be the 16th :)

Linus!!!!

We were very busy today, and everyone was very excited to see the massive pile off quilts we had collected.


We had a grand total of  28 quilts!!!!
 
 
12 off these beautiful quilts are going to Linus

 
and 16 Quilts will be going to another fantastic children's charity
 
 
We have also been working on these gorgeous incubator quilts :)
