sewing

Just a quick reminder that due to the bank holiday

We will be closed next week on Wednesday 2nd September 2015

Well today it was pouring down with rain, but it didn't stop everyone from coming :)
lets see what we got up to,


Irene has been sandwiching her beautiful purple quilt  
which is a whopper!
 
 
 Merillia has got these beautiful fabrics and putting them together to make
a lovely cross quilt :)
 
 
Here is Merillia's pattern.
 

Cathy has been using her scraps to make cat and dog quilts for a local rescue centre  
 
 
This is what Wendy has been working on, this gorgeous monkey
button bag :)

Annette has been quilting another beautiful baby quilt :) 


Maggie is still working hard on her fantastic scrappy quilt!
 

Chris is quilting her baby quilt, she just had to unpick a bit!!
 
And me, after procrastinating for a long time! I binded my Christmas
tree skirt, just need to add a few last bits.

sewing :)

We were very busy today lets see what we got up to,


Wendy has been very busy and brought a long these two beautiful quilts with
her to show us, Ta Dar!!
 

This stunning Lone Star quilt has been created for the back of her new car!!
 

Jenny has also been working on her beautiful Lone Star Quilt!!
In these lovely blues and browns,
 
 
Marisabel has nearly completed her beautiful blue and
orange quilt :)
 
 
Beryl has not disappointed with these super little ragdolls

Irene was showing us her new toy a 2 1\2 inch strip ruler
 

Annie Pie has finished her lovely Aurtumble quilt bag
 

Lynda is also making a lovely little bag for her lap quilt,
 

 
Lynda has also made a super weekend knitting bag :)
 
and me, well is it to soon to mention Christmas? I have designed
my very own Christmas tree skirt :)
 
 
It needs the little fiddly bits adding and quilting :)

Nikki Parmenter!

We have fantastic news the fabulous Nikki Parmenter is joining us 6th April 2016 to show us some decretive embroidery :)

Bank Holiday!

This is a little notice to remind you that sewing will be

 closed on Wednesday 2nd September 2015
 
The sewing club will return to normal the week after on the 9th 

Quilt show

Well a few of the lady's come today with bags full of goodie to show us, things that they had purchased from the recent quilt show! They all had a really good time, Then it was time for sewing!!  Lets see what we have got up to this week :)

 
Tar Dar for Cathy she has finished her beautiful Linus Quilt :)


Beryl after seeing my little doll wanted to make two of her own!  
she has made her some little knickers :)
 

She is planning to make another boy doll to match and I cant wait to see
him :)
 

Cathy is putting the binding on another Linus Quilt


Maggie is altering some curtains for her daughter :)
 

This is one of the things Irene got from the quilt show its the quilters alphabet
this is a lovely thing to read, she has the quilters prayer at home so she is going
to finish them and hang them in her sewing room :)
 
 
Maureen came today to do some sewing, she is working on this fantastic
cat!! :)
 
and me I was just having a play with some bits

Little boxes :)

Morning everyone, we had another busy day at sewing today, and also a little treat, our wonderful Lynda had been shown how to make little boxes from card and she thought she would share it with us all, Thank you Lynda.

Beryl has been working on another Linus quilt and giving lots of needed advice
on embroidery
 
 
A big thumbs up for Cathy this week she has faced her fears and tried
some free motion quilting, and for her first attempt she has done amazing!!!

 
Maggie is still titivating her beautiful Katherine Guerrier scrappy quilt :) 

 
Kate has finished her beautiful baby quilt today

Then in the afternoon knocked up this stunning summer tote bag!!!
 

Another Tar Dar!!! for Cathy, she has finished her wonder bag for her granddaughter
Well done :)
 
 
and me I did some embroidery on my little girl's rag doll and made some
purple shoes, she has named her Rita :)
 
 
 
I also wanted to share my applique I did last week at home :)
